Lesotho Women in Mining Association
About Us
Established in 2022, the Lesotho Women in Mining Association (LEWIMA) is a membership based organization for women across the mining sector and value chain including formal and informal miners, mining professionals and services providers. The association is aimed at enhancing the participation and empowerment of women in mining in Lesotho.
We recognise that mining is a major economic sector that impacts Lesotho’s development and so requires the intervention of programmes that will ensure equal and equitable participation for all in it.
We affiliate to Southern African Development Community (SADC) Women in Mining Association

- To create a supportive network to attract, retain and grow the number of women within the mining communities and industry
